Enrolment Procedures for ACT public schools

Children entering school at the preschool entry point should be four years of age on or before 30 April in that year.

Enrolment for 2023

If your child turns 4 years old before 30 April 2023 they are eligible for enrolment in an ACT Education Directorate Preschool.

Applications for Enrolment (for all year groups) are available online from the he Education Directorate website from Tuesday 26 April 2022.

We welcome you to our 2023 Enrolment Tour and Information Session so you can get to know our Preschool to year 2 school a little more.

  • Monday 21 March 4:30 - 5:00pm, or
  • Friday 1 April 8:30 - 8:55am
  • Thursday 5 May 8:30 - 8:55am

Enrolment for 2022

If you are enrolling your child to start school in 2022 or if your child is transferring to an ACT public school at any stage this year, you will need to use the online form. Supporting information is available through the parent / carer guide to enrolment / transfer for ACT public schools located on the 'Enrolling in an ACT Public School' section of the Education Directorate website.

Information for NSW residents applying for preschool in 2022

NSW families wishing to enrol in a Canberra Public School will now be offered a place at a selection of schools in either a southern or a northern zone in the ACT. For more information, please see the 'NSW Resident Enrolments' section of the Education Directorate's website.

All enrolment requests are stored electronically and sent to the first choice school. Decisions regarding offers of enrolment / transfer are made after the closing date. Applications for 2021 close 5:00pm 5 June 2020, offers of enrolment are sent to parents / carers. If the offer is accepted, parents / carers arrange to visit the school with relevant documentation as outlined in the online form.

If you have difficulty accessing a computer to complete the online enrolment form, please contact the school for assistance. A translator can be arranged should you require one. Please make an appointment with the school on 6142 0345.
